Continuing our inadvertent custom of vacationing during national holidays, we took in the sights, and sounds, of the Day of the Community of Madrid on our first day in Spain.
The Dos de Mayo festival is in honor of the uprising in the city of Madrid over Napoleon’s army in 1808. The festival includes military concerts and a parade by the royal troops. The below video was taken outside the Palacio Real.
